As runners conquer the courses, they’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing glass of cider, wine, or mead from Valley View Farm, adding a sweet and satisfying touch to their post-race celebration. Embracing inclusivity, walkers are warmly welcomed to attend this event, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among participants. Additionally, for those unable to join in person, a virtual race option is available, ensuring that everyone can be part of the excitement regardless of location.
Upon completion of their journey, all runners will receive a well-deserved finisher’s medal and a technical (Drifit) event shirt to commemorate their achievement. The event is chip timed, ensuring accurate results and providing participants with a true test of their abilities.
Furthermore, by participating in the Valley View Hard Cider Challenge, runners contribute to a worthy cause, as the event benefits Paws for Purple Hearts. This organization is dedicated to improving the lives of America’s Warriors facing mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions by providing high-quality assistance dog and canine-assisted therapeutic programs.
The course itself presents its own set of challenges, with some hills along the route adding an extra layer of difficulty and excitement. The 5K and 10K routes are out-and-backs once, while the half marathon consists of two out-and-back segments.
