Westy Half & 5k

Just south of the Westin Hotel at the Promenade Terrace Park, the half-marathon course takes place on the Big Creek Trail, with paved, non-paved, and gravel portions throughout. Along the way, runners will reach several scenic landmarks including City Park Pond, the Armed Forces Tribute Garden, Walnut Creek, Mountainview Church, Westbrook Park, and Stanley Lake Regional Park. Like most events, the Westy Half Marathon and 5k provide a swag bag for all participants, comprising of a gender-specific race-day shit and other surprise goodies. For those who finish, a finisher’s medal is also in order. The looping out-and-back half marathon course sees 3 aid stations out and 3 stations back, for a total of six opportunities to fuel throughout the race.
