Overview

Run Winter Trail Fest in 2025

Some call it the Winter Trail Fest, some just think What The F…?! Join Trivium Racing at Yankee Springs for a West Michigan winter trail Half Marathon and 5 Mile race with a river crossing! We’re hoping for some of the nastiest, true “WTF” winter weather conditions possible! The afternoon start will give both you and the temps a chance to warm up before you tackle some winter trail miles. In June, you have the opportunity to join us for Summer Trail Fest Ultra (50K), Half Marathon, & 5 Mile to earn the connecting STFU medal. Put March 1, 2025 on your calendar and give yourself something unique to train for as the days get colder!

New in 2025: The Half Marathon and 5 Mile both have a ruck division!

There is an option to avoid the river crossing by adding .25 miles. We also offer WTF East in Brighton, Michigan without a river crossing.

Course Description

The Half Marathon course at Yankee Springs uses trails not used by a lot of the other Yankee Springs events. This is a fun opportunity to check out some unique areas of Yankee, and also challenge yourself on this winter trail course. The course is well marked with hanging tape confidence markers every .1 miles and turn signs at every single turn on the course. 5+ aid stations keep athletes prepared for the miles ahead with water/Gatorade and gels. Runners will have the choice to cross the frigid water about .5 mile from the finish or run a bonus .25 miles and avoid the water! Either way this is an epic way to kick off your season of racing!
