This year’s course comes with the same great sights and views of Lake Michigan that one would expect from a Kenosha race. From the starting line near the Kenosha Public Museum and Harbor Park on 54th Street, runners follow along 54th st before taking a left onto 7th, right on 59th and onto 8th avenue for the one mile mark.
Runners continue onto 7th ave passing the United Hospital System and Baker Park on their right. Participants will follow 7th avenue for the next 2 miles, before a quick loop around 86th st. and 3rd ave along the water.
The course takes runners back onto 7th ave, but takes a right onto 79th st, to 2nd ave for a mile along the water. Running parallel to the course, except in reverse, runners make their way back to the starting area, but head past it, up 6th ave and onto Kennedy Dr right before the 8 mile mark
The second out and back goes through Pennoyer Park and Alford Park along Alford Park Dr. The turnaround point is located just after Art Keller Field at Carthage College at the 10 mile mark. There, runners will turnaround and follow the same route back to the Civil War Museum and the finish line.
