Participants will appreciate the effort to maintain a natural and safe course, with over 60% of the route shaded by trees, enhancing the serene experience of trail running. Despite the non-exact nature of trail race distances, meticulous course marking with turn arrows, signs, and cones ensures a clear path for all runners, emphasizing safety and enjoyment over competition, especially in the Walk division.
Unique to this year’s event, finishers will receive a “Woodle” medal, a sustainable and beautifully crafted token from Ridgeway Woodworks made of reclaimed wood. These medals not only serve as a symbol of achievement but also reflect the race’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Custom racks for displaying the medals are also available, adding an extra layer of personalization to the race memorabilia.
