What do speedy zombies run for? GAAAAAAAAAINS! Dress the part during the Zombie Half Marathon, or boost your finish time by imagining yourself fleeing from flesh-eating monsters.
Hosted annually by the Anchorage Running Club, this late-season race is perfect for those looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Halloween runcation. For those running locally, this race is part of the Sleeping Lady Challenge, where runners are challenged to participate in at least 3 out of the Club’s 6 events.
The course is one way – Goose Lake to Kincaid. You will be running along the West Chester Creek Lagoon. At the West Chester Creek Lagoon area you will hop onto the coastal trail to Kincaid Chalet.
In the spirit of the event, runners are encouraged to run in costume. Wear your best zombie costume for this late season event on the Coastal and Chester Creek trails. The races will be held regardless of weather and trail conditions. No personal pacers (runner without a bib) and absolutely no personal bike leads.
