Welcome to Angel’s Rest, where the culmination of years of preparation brings you the inaugural trail race in the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge! Embark on an unforgettable journey amidst sweeping views, stream crossings, challenging trails, and stunning waterfalls on our 20-mile and 10K courses, both weaving by the iconic Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls. Witness the rejuvenation of areas scorched by the 2017 Eagle Creek fire as you ascend through the forest.

For the Angel’s Rest half marathon, the adventure begins at Benson State Rec Area, leading you past Multnomah Falls, onto Larch Mountain Trail, and up to the top of the Falls. Navigate through Devil’s Rest and Angel’s Rest, soaking in panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge. With 3300ft of elevation gain, 70% single-track, 20% two-track/forest service road, and 10% pavement, this course promises a challenging yet rewarding experience. A single aid station supports your journey within the 6-hour time limit.

Our 10K course, starting and finishing at Benson State Recreation Area, follows a popular route in the Columbia River Gorge. Ascend Larch Mtn Trail, descend Wahkeena Trail, and pass by Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls in this single-loop adventure spanning 6.2 miles. Featuring 75% single track and 25% paved trail, this course boasts 1600ft of elevation gain and loss.

For young runners under 20, the 10K Youth Trail offers discounted entry as part of our Youth Trail Initiative, with two free entries available on a first-come, first-served basis.
