A few hundred runners and walkers cross the finish line in both races combined each year at the fall running of the Boston Mini Marathon & 5K, a 13.1-mile race event for runners and walkers that takes place as part of the town’s annual autumn festival over the Halloween weekend. The race also includes a haunted house for kids, live entertainment and a cook-off in the town’s Watt Park.

All of the races in the event follow an out-and-back route that winds through the neighborhoods and outlying areas along the rolling hills of Boston, and share the same starting and finish lines, at the offices of Commercial Bank on West Jefferson Street.
