Held in Port Angeles, Washington, the Great Olympic Adventure Trail (GOAT) Run offers a half marathon, marathon, and 50K distances.
The courses send runners through Kelly Ridge between Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, ending at Lake Crescent inside the park. Shuttle service to the start is mandatory for all lengths. The Half Marathon GOAT Run covers approximately 14 miles with 1500 feet of elevation gain. The Marathon GOAT Run spans nearly 26 miles with 3500 feet of elevation gain, predominantly on single track trails. For the 50K GOAT Run, runners can enjoy a slightly shorter official distance, combining unpaved forest roads and single track trails.
The event is professionally organized with well-marked courses, aid stations stocked with food and snacks, custom race swag, chip timing, and a post-race celebration at Log Cabin Resort.
