Overview
The Griffith Park Run Half Marathon and 5k is a road racing event that’s put off each year to benefit the beautiful LA City Parks, aimed to raise funds for the Los Angeles Parks Foundation. Destination Race, PR Chasers, Scenic Views. With minimal hills, this fast, flat, and historic half marathon course offers spectacular views of the foothills, with beautiful natural landscapes surrounding. Located in beautiful Los Angeles, California, one of the most sought after cities in the world, the Griffith Park Half Marathon is most certainly a destination race, with much to do and see once the race is finished. With a fast start kicking off at 7:30 a.m sharp, runners begin on a compact trail that spans about four (4) miles before reaching the flat road portion for the remainder of the race. From mile 5 to 7, runners will cover Pony Ride and Merry Go Round Trail.

During the final leg of the half marathon course, runners will journey through travel town and the zoo; this is also known to be the fastest and flatest portion of the course – a great way to cross the finish line in style.
Open to all fitness levels and abilities, the half marathon course is ideal for beginners, first-timers, and elite runners alike, encouraging all participants to take their time and enjoy the sights and sounds of their surroundings.
To ensure optimal fueling, hydration, and safety, the half marathon course has a total of six (6) aid stations throughout.
Finally, for those with a competitive nature, this half marathon course DOES offer cash prizes for the top three finishers in both the male and female categories, with a total of $5000 in cash incentives.
