Overview

Saturday, October 18, 2025, brings autumn running to Laurel Hill Park, Lorton, Virginia, with the Harvest Hills Event offering three distances: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon along scenic rolling terrain. Organized by Bishop’s Events, this race combines series competition, natural beauty, and accessible pacing into a festive fall experience.

🏃 Course & Atmosphere

All races start at 7:30 AM EDT at the Central Green pavilion of Laurel Hill Park, using paved and well-maintained park roads and adjacent trails. The half marathon is a two‑loop layout, offering about 300–400 ft of cumulative elevation gain, while the 10K and 5K follow portions of the larger loop for a single lap. The route winds through oak forests, open meadows, and historic grounds, ideal for crisp fall air and colorful foliage running.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 miles and include water and electrolyte drinks. The event welcomes walkers and supports a virtual race option for remote runners. Points earned apply toward Bishop’s Year-Long 5K/10K/Half, Fall Series, and Back-of-the-Pack competitions.

🎯 What Makes It Unique

With modest-sized fields, strong club participation, and a thoughtfully timed fall weekend slot, Harvest Hills offers a low-stress but well organized experience. The scenic Laurel Hill Park venue, combined with series participation and community vibes, creates a boutique finish-line feel—perfect for relaxed racers, goal-chasers, or first‑timers alike.
