The Jamestown Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile Course commemorating the beginning of America. The race starts and finishes in the vicinity of the Amblers House (Vermillion Building) 2205 Jamestown Rd 23185. The Jamestown Half Marathon follows a uniquely American course, winding through
Jamestown Settlement, circling Jamestown Island, and traversing the Greensprings and Virginia Capital Trail. This flat, scenic course is where America began. Your every footfall will echo with the steps of those that came before and give you the chance to make your own history.
Perks: All runners and walkers receive a beautiful custom race T, custom finisher medal ( participants must finish to receive), Swag Bag, After race refreshments and complimentary beer ( must be 21 or older to receive). Dj and music for entertainment. .
The Jamestown Half Marathon run is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix and a Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix race. The Jamestown Half Marathon Competitive Walk is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix and a Hampton Roads Race Walking Super Grand Prix.
Awards are given to:
Half Marathon: the Top 3 male and female overall, top three male and female Masters, Top three male and female Grand Masters, the top three male and female in the following age groups; 15 and under, 16-19, and then 5 yr age groups starting at 20-24 through 80 and over. Top three male and female in the Competitive Walk
5K: Top three male and female overall, top three male and female Masters, Top three male and female Grand Masters, top three male and female in the following age groups; 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12,13 -15, 16-19, and then 5 yr age groups starting at 20-24 through 80 and over. Top three male and female in the Competitive Walk.
Discovery Mile: Non timed fun event.
