For the 100 Mile entrants, the course extends to Iola, while the 50 Mile runners make their way to Garnett, and the 50K participants reach Richmond before returning to the finish in Ottawa. The 100K, Marathon, and Half Marathon races follow a similar pattern, with turnarounds in Welda, Richmond, and Princeton, respectively.
With a family-friendly atmosphere, the event welcomes spectators and crew members to cheer on runners. Pacers are allowed for the latter portion of the race, enhancing the experience for both newcomers and seasoned ultramarathoners. The course’s flat and accessible nature makes it ideal for those aiming to achieve personal records or conquer their first ultramarathon. Join us for a celebration of endurance, camaraderie, and the boundless spirit of the Kansas Rails-to-Trails Extravaganza.
Half Marathon Guide is the largest calendar and educational resource in the world for half marathon runners and enthusiasts with over 10,000,000 annual visitors.
