Course Description

At an elevation of 8234 feet, this race will begin at 151 East Street, with both the start and finish line located at TEENS, Inc. Headquarters. Noted as one of the most challenging half marathon courses on the front range, this course kicks runners off along the winding roads of Old Town Nederland for a mile before climbing up Sugar Mag Trail. Along the single track, runners will persist for another ¾ mile before reaching the first aid station at mile 5.5. From there, it’s time to hit the West Magnolia Trails before crossing Highway 119 onto East Magnolia Road. Finally, it’s the last descent of the course before reaching the finish line. Upon registration, all participants will receive a racing bib and custom t-shirt, with pick-up of the swag taking place the night before the race. While family-friendly and community-based in many aspects, this course remains competitive, with no walkers allowed to participate due to the challenging nature of the course and the single-track course design. Finally, as a cupless event, all runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration flasks, whether a reusable bottle or a bladder bag.
