Las Vegas Featured Half Marathon Runners in the half marathon start the race in downtown Phoenix near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and 1st Avenue. From there, they follow the course as it heads west past a pair of local parks — Library Park and Bolin Memorial Park — before turning north, for a stretch that brings runners onto a long out-and-back along Central Avenue. The course follows Central for the next few miles, all the way to the turnaround point between Marshall Avenue and Montebello Avenue. After they make the turn, runners head back south along Central Avenue, and cover the ground they’ve just run all the way back downtown for the race finish near the steps of City Hall. The time limit for the half marathon is four hours, giving walkers plenty of time to complete the course.
