Overview

Cool off your summer run with this sweet twist—literally! Held at scenic Zorinsky Lake Park on Sunday, August 10, 2025, the Popsicle Run invites participants to tackle a USATF-style Half Marathon (7 AM CDT), 10K (7:30 AM), or 5K (8 AM)—or choose a virtual option. The highlight? Every finisher earns an ice-cold popsicle at the end—a refreshing reward perfect for hot summer days

Race Personality & Swag
Hosted by Five Star NTP, this event radiates upbeat community energy. Swag includes a logo T-shirt (if registered by July 31) and a finisher medal. Awards go to top overall finishers, masters, grand masters, senior grand masters, and age-group categories through 75+. Numerous group discounts make it a great team event.

What Makes It Unique
It’s a mid-summer celebration more than a race—participants literally “run for the popsicles.” The virtual option opens the sweet reward to those out of town. It’s also charity-friendly, with sponsorship opportunities and volunteer incentives.

Course Description

Runners follow a fast, flat out-and-back along the paved Cottonwood Creek trail, ideal for strong pacing or casual enjoyment. The midpoint of the swim-style “race into a cool treat” vibe draws a mix of serious runners aiming for personal records and families joining the fun. Aid stations appear every 1.5 miles, and pacing support—plus a 16 min/mile cutoff—ensures safety and inclusivity.
