With over 1700 feet of total elevation gain, this moderately challenging half-marathon course takes runners along a looping course starting and finishing in the same location, reaching several landmarks throughout. First, it’s along Gerry Boundary Trail before reaching the first aid station at the High Adventure landmark. Onward along Gerry Boundary Trail, runners will ultimately reach Elkhorn via Box Hollow and Lady Moon Trail. From there, it’s along Elkhorn Creek, past Granite Ridge, and up toward the North Loop turnaround point. Finally, it’s a retrace of steps back to where it all started to officially complete the race. This half-marathon course has a forgiving 6-hour time limit, so runners and walkers alike are encouraged to participate. So, what do you get for registering? Withstanding a well-marked scenic half-marathon course and a post-race BBQ, all registrants will also receive a gender-specific race shirt, finisher awards, free professional race-day photos, and a full day of memories.
