The Run Berea Half Marathon & 5K invites runners to explore Berea, Kentucky’s scenic beauty and cultural heritage. Starting and finishing at the Kentucky Artisan Center, participants traverse the city, highlighting its folk arts legacy.
The course winds through downtown Berea, offering glimpses of its vibrant atmosphere and historic landmarks like the Boone Tavern Hotel, built in 1909 and is operated by the Berea College.
Berea is a college-town half marathon. Runners will pass through the Berea College campus, immersing themselves in the collegiate charm of the area. Berea College was founded in 1855 by abolitionist settlers to provide accessible education to all races and genders. Today, Berea College is a tuition-free college which is supported by endowments from such famous donors as the Rockefeller Family, Ford Foundation, and Kellogg Foundation.
