Starting at 8:00 a.m., the half-marathon participants kick off the race by setting off on a two-loop course that runs along the beach’s bike path at Bolsa Chica. Spectator-friendly and aid stations every 1.5 miles, this is a great community even for family and friends alike.
Starting at the Warner Avenue roundabout, runners head south toward Dog Beach. Turning around at the marked point, runners then head North toward the Warner Avenue roundabout. Repeat this loop twice to finish.
With a custom cast finisher’s medal and bib awarded to those who cross the finish line successfully, there are more reasons than one to give it your best on the course. After the race, be sure to stick around for SoCal’s “Healthiest Live Party” with live bands and more to enjoy.
Oh, and don’t forget about the post-race pancakes provided to you by Kiwanis Club.
Half Marathon Guide is the largest calendar and educational resource in the world for half marathon runners and enthusiasts with over 10,000,000 annual visitors.
