Overview

Trail Runners, Challenging Course. Situated in San Diego County in the heart of wine country, San Pasqual Valley is home to quiet and peaceful suburban environments, perfect for backcountry running amidst beautiful scenery.

The half marathon course of the San Pasqual Valley Trail Race takes place along Raptor Ridge, taking runners through the elegant vineyards and orange groves of San Pasqual Valley, offering runners epic views that make the challenging course worth it.

The half-marathon course is an out-and-back course that summits runners up and down Raptors Ridge, not once but twice. This course begins on private property and brings runners along Bandy Canyon Road and other backroad dirt trails.

Course Description

Repeat the out-and-back course twice, crossing the finish line back where the start of the race began.
There are only two aid stations throughout the half-marathon course at miles 3 and 10, so participants are encouraged to come equipped with additional hydration and fuel sources, especially due to the hill-heavy, 3700 feet of elevation gain course.
With wine at the finish line, the San Pasqual Trail Race embodies perfectly the nature of the location. The course cut-off time is six hours.
