Overview

In support of Youth Runners, the Santa Barbara Half Marathon & 5k, presented by HOKA, is an incredible raceday weekend for the entire family to come out and enjoy.

Large Crowds. Highlighting two world-renowned streets of the American Riviera, notably Cabrillo Blvd and State Street, runners will enjoy incredible waterfront views before embarking on an adventurous journey throughout downtown Santa Barbara.

From historic landmarks to natural Californian scenery, there’s a reason that this event brings out thousands of runners from around the world.

Course Description

Starting at 7:00 a.m. sharp, the Santa Barbara Half Marathon kicks runners off along Shroeline Drive turning around at Meigs Road. Onward along Shoreline Drive in the opposite direction, runners persist through Cabrillo Blvd turning around at Channel Drive.
Back along Cabrillo Blvd, runners continue forth toward State Street before turning around for the final descent toward the finish line.
As for what you can expect from your personal race kit, all participants will receive a finisher’s medal and a longsleeve tech shirt. Participants can also expect to enjoy a fully supported race course, an indulgent after-party festival, and several divisional awards for those who finish highest in their respective age groups.
The half marathon race has a 3-hour 30-minute time limit, 8 fully-stocked aid stations throughout, and wave starts to accommodate the large crowds.
