Welcome to the ninth (9th) annual Shark Bite Half Marathon & 5k, located in beautiful New Smyrna Beach, Florida!

Scenic Views. As one of the premier races in Florida, the Shark Bite Half Marathon, created by runners for runners, is all that a runner could ask for in a race, from the course to the merch to the in-race support and breathtaking views.

New Smyrna Beach is known for several things, not limited to being an epic surfers destination, spring break destination, and overall beach destination. If this sounds like you, there’s no better destination to visit for a race weekend.

Starting at Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park, runners take off along Flagler Avenue, crossing the Indian River via the Causeway within the first five miles. Once crossed, runners turn onto Riverside Drive before looping onto Faulkner Street.
Journeying through New Smyrna Beach’s historic downtown including Canal Street, runners will ultimately find themselves crossing the causeway in the opposite direction in pursuit of returning to the finish line.
The final stretch will take place on Saxon Drive before turning onto Atlantic Avenue to finish.
All runners will receive premium swag, including but not limited to a premium blended t-shirt, a commemorative finisher’s medal, finisher’s hats, free photos, and custom awards for top finishers.
All participants will also be encouraged to stick around for free post-race beers and pizza to celebrate their epic accomplishment. Oh, and don’t forget about the pre-race festivities, taking place at the Shark Bite Expo on Saturday morning!
