In support of a noble cause, a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Team Virginia, a remarkable group of organ transplant recipients and living donors dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of organ donation. Through their inspiring efforts, Team Virginia showcases the transformative impact of organ transplantation on individuals and their families, underscoring the critical need for donors.
The race itself offers a trail route along a mostly light gravel dirt path, providing participants with a scenic and invigorating journey through the battlefield. The 5K comprises one loop, while the 10K consists of two loops. For those tackling the half marathon, prepare for a challenging yet rewarding experience with three loops and a detour out-and-back section each lap.
