The Stagecoach Run, benefiting the Pear Blossom Scholarship Fund, has been a beacon of support for local student-athletes pursuing their college dreams in education and athletics for over two decades. All net proceeds from the event contribute to Pear Blossom Scholarship Awards, making a tangible impact on the academic and athletic journeys of deserving individuals. This year’s event takes place at Clyde’s Corner, 4495 S Pacific Hwy Suite 580, Phoenix, OR 97535, with overflow parking available at Blue Heron Park.
Ensuring participant safety, the course follows the bike path from Phoenix, addressing last year’s safety concerns on Stagecoach Rd. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug 31, 2024, with the Half Marathon starting at 8:00 am and the 5K/10K at 9:00 am. Registration fees are $20 for SOR Members, $25 for Non-SOR Members, and free for participants aged 18 and under. Late and day-of-race entries will be $25, and joining Southern Oregon Runners saves $5 per race.
On race day, registration and packet pick-up are available from 7:15-7:45 am for the Half Marathon and 7:30-8:45 am for the 5K/10K races. Awards will be presented in the form of ribbons. Race Directors, led by Chuck Whiteley, ensure the smooth execution of the event. Participants are urged to exercise caution as the races cover public roads and trails that are not closed to other users. No roller skates, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, dogs, or unregistered runners are allowed, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants on shared pathways.
