Embark on a hilly and scenic trail run along the breathtaking Oregon Coast, where the challenging course and stunning views create an unforgettable experience. Navigate killer hills through the woods and a remarkable flat cliff section offering glimpses of sea lions, rocks, the deep blue sea, and, if you’re lucky, a passing whale. This race has it all and at an unbeatable price.

To keep costs down, basic race entry doesn’t include T-shirts, recognizing that many participants already boast a collection. However, for those wanting a quality, moisture-wicking shirt to subtly showcase their accomplishment, we offer that option too.

Our generous host, Sunset State Park, warmly welcomes participants, but please refrain from parking on the grass. Restrooms and water are available at the start/finish line, with additional facilities at 4 miles for 15K and Half Marathon participants. As the course is open to traffic, stay alert for safety. This RRCA-sanctioned event prohibits headphones, rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, animals, or jogging strollers during the race.

Your participation supports a good cause, as proceeds from the event will be donated to the Pregnancy Resource Center in Coos Bay. Top three winners overall and in each age group will receive ribbons, with additional fabulous prizes from local businesses up for grabs.

Enjoy stunning views at the Sunset Bay Trail Runs Half Marathon, 15, 4m, and 1m. The course takes place on a hilly, challenging trail on the Oregon coast. Hosted at Sunset State Park, the course offers runners forested sections, and cliffside views of the ocean, sea lions, rocks, and possibly whales. The course is open to traffic, so runners need to use caution. Restrooms and aid stations will be located at the start of the race and at the 4 mile mark.
