Why It Stands Out
This race is not just a run—it’s a Fourth of July kick-off party with flat, fast scenic routes, fun swag (including neck buffs!), and a Cause that benefits local youth sports. Pairing athletic achievement with community support, festival ambiance, and festive firework energy, Rockin’ Riverfest combines fitness, family, and celebration in one high-energy riverfront launch to summer.

Course Description

The race begins at Frontier Park’s pavilion on the riverfront, continuing north along paved sections and scenic single-track rail-to-trail path that hugs the Missouri River. Half-marathoners complete two loops, the 10K and 5K one loop each. Aid stations appear at strategic points (mile 1.5 and 4, doubled on the half), providing water, sports drinks, even pickle juice to keep runners fueled.

With chip timing, instant results, downloadable race day photos, neck buffs, finishers’ medals for half participants, and stage ceremonies for age-group top 3, the event offers both performance tracking and fun rewards.
