Atlanta is a big place. (I should know, I live there.)
What that means for runners is that when you’re looking to run a half marathon — or a full marathon, 10K, 5K, or any distance race — there are plenty of races to choose from throughout the year.
Here you’ll find not just races in the city of Atlanta proper, but races you can make it to on a Saturday or Sunday within a reasonable drive — so I’ve included nearby cities like Snellville, Loganville and even Athens, but not places as far away as Macon.

Another half that I recommend for your list is the Red Carpet half in Dalton. I have run that one three times. The course, organization and atmosphere are all top notch.
