On race day, the excitement kicks off with check-in starting at 7:00 a.m. at Huddart Park’s Werder Shelter. Arriving 45 minutes before your event is recommended to ensure you have ample time to receive your bib and shirt, and make any necessary preparations. Event start times are thoughtfully arranged for your convenience.
For parking, a fee of $6 per vehicle applies. To make the entry process smooth and efficient, kindly bring exact change. Your cooperation helps keep everything running seamlessly, leaving more time to savor the trail.
During the race, you can leave a drop bag with non-valuables at the Start/Finish area. It’s a handy service to keep your essentials nearby without weighing you down.
As you embrace the call of the wild, please note that no dogs are allowed in the park. This ensures the safety and harmony of all participants, as well as the local wildlife.
You might wonder about time limits and cut-offs for the different events. The marathon has a 9-hour time limit, with a specific cut-off point at the Bear Gulch Aid Station, marked at 4 hours or 12 noon (at 12 miles). For the 50K, the time limit is also 9 hours, with a 3-hour and 30-minute cut-off at the Bear Gulch Aid Station, set at 11:30 a.m. (at 12 miles). For all events, a 9-hour time frame is provided to ensure an enjoyable and manageable experience.
The course is designed with your convenience in mind, marked with ribbon approximately every 200 yards and color-coded to make navigation straightforward.
