Hamden Fest Half Marathon

The Hamden Fest Half Marathon & 5K, set in the vibrant community of Hamden, Connecticut, offers an engaging blend of athletics and cultural festivities. Scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd, at Town Center Park, this event caters to a diverse crowd with options for a Half Marathon and a 5K that include grass and paved trail routes. The races precede the Hamden Fest, which begins at 11:00 am, transforming Town Center Park into a hub of activity until 4:00 pm. This day-long celebration, a collaborative effort between the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Hamden, promises an array of attractions including a Business & Community Expo, Library Book Sale, Food Trucks, Arts & Crafts & Antiques Fair, and a Kids’ Zone managed by the Hamden Youth Service Bureau, along with live entertainment. For participants, race day conveniences include parking at Hamden Town Center Park, with a specific entry point advised. Bib and T-shirt pickup, along with same-day registration, is available from 7:00 am to 8:45 am at the race site. The registration package includes race entry, chip timing, parking, and an event T-shirt, with the assurance of a T-shirt size for those who register before June 1st. Half Marathon finishers will be rewarded with a 3″ finisher medal, and the course is well-supported with six aid stations offering Ucan energy gels, sports drinks, water, and portable toilets. Awards will honor the top 3 male and female finishers overall, along with the top 3 in various age groups, ensuring a competitive spirit thrives among runners.
