Overview

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Lula Lake Trail Blazer returns to Lookout Mountain, GA, offering 10K, half marathon, and 50K distance options—all showcasing the stunning trail systems maintained by the Lula Lake Land Trust. Launched in 2019 to fund trail construction and maintenance, the race has grown into a favorite among trail enthusiasts for its balance of challenge, scenery, and community goodwill.

Participants in the half marathon navigate a demanding single-loop route through the Core Preserve and Moonshine Trails. The course delivers a total of approximately 1,400 ft of elevation gain, including technical single-track climbs and breathtaking vistas, before looping back on the 10K section featuring waterfalls and bluff overlooks. Well-marked and rugged, the course rewards trail savvy and resilience.

Aid is plentiful, with stations offering water, Tailwind, Coke, PB\&J, fruit, chips, pickles, and gels to fuel the journey. After crossing the finish, runners are treated to a lively after-party with food, beverages (beer included), and sure camaraderie under the Georgia sky.

What makes this event truly special is its mission-driven nature—all proceeds go directly toward trail building and conservation on Lula Lake Land Trust lands. A sense of purpose blends with the physical accomplishment, creating a powerful connection between effort and stewardship.
