Taking place on Halloween weekend, the Marine County Half Marathon is part of an entire endurance festival consisting of a triathlon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k that’s hosted along picturesque McNears Beach.
Large Crowds, Scenic Views. The Marine County Half Marathon course hosted at McNears Beach offers runners magnificent waterfront views of the Bay, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, China Camp State Park, and much much more.
Located about 20 miles from San Francisco, San Rafael, part of Marine County, is a picturseque region of California, making it a great destination for a race weekend and adventure.
Off Point San Padro Drive on 201 Cantera Drive, the Marine County Half Marathon kicks off at 9:00 a.m. sharp, with a three (3) hour course time limit finishing at McNears Beach Park.
To begin, runners head out Cantera Way before turning left onto San Padro Drive, holding course for the next three (3) miles or so. Onward, runners will then turn around, head back along Cantera Way in the opposite direction where they’ll be met with a series of rolling hills.
