Hosted as a charity fundraiser for the Sisters of Life in Denver, the Nun Run Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k is entering its 9th year in support of reaching their annual goal of $31,000. Taking place within a beautiful regional park along a 71-mile stretch of canal from South Platte River to Waterton Canyon, the Nun Run Half Marathon enjoys serene natural landscapes throughout. Amidst the Rocky Mountains, this course is truly amazing, not to mention it takes place mid-September, so expect the colours of autumn to be in full bloom.

Course Description
Starting in DeKoevend Park, the Nun Run Half Marathon takes participants along the beautiful High Line Canal. Exiting the park, runners will cross East Orchard Road at mile 2. Onward, runners will cross East Long Road as they persist through Greenwood Village. Turning around at Marjorie Nature Preserve, runners will retrace their steps in an out-and-back fashion before ultimately reaching the finish line where the race initially began. If you’re worried about fueling, no need to fret. This course has several aid stations throughout to ensure that you perform at your best. This community event is a perfect excursion for the entire family, so be sure to encourage family and friends to come out and support!
