The half marathon course passes through charming streets and the scenic Blue River Rail Trail, following a retired railroad bed alongside the Big Blue River.
Runners will traverse paved and brick streets, cross bridges, and enjoy breathtaking views of limestone outcrops, grassy bluffs, and open farm fields.
All proceeds go to benefit St. Gregory the Great Catholic School PTO.

With water and aid stations strategically placed along the route, this race is perfect for those gearing up for a fall marathon. The half marathon kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at 7th & Broadway, followed by the 5K Run at 8:15 a.m. Participants in both races receive a race t-shirt, and half marathon runners earn a well-deserved finisher medal. Awards await the top overall winners at the conclusion of the races. The excitement extends beyond the races, as downtown Marysville hosts various activities throughout the day. Witness the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash cyclists departing at 7:30 a.m. and returning throughout the day. Indulge in abundant food and drink options, adding to the festive atmosphere. New this year is the virtual race option, allowing participants to run between September 1st and September 17th. Virtual runners can email their time and distance to receive the race t-shirt and half-marathon finisher medal by mail. While virtual runners aren’t eligible for overall awards, they can still be part of this exciting event. Register by August 31st at 11 pm, and secure your shirt by registering before August 28th at 5 pm. There’s no same-day registration or refunds, so plan ahead.
